Harry Adams (1894-1974)
Elected to Craft Membership in 1931.
Harry Adams was born in 1894. He was a student at the Birmingham College of Art and was for many years on its staff. He retired from the headmastership of Moseley School of Art, Birmingham, in 1961. Besides the many commissioned works he has done alone, he has collaborated with his wife, Margaret Adams on much illustration and decoration for Stanbrook Abbey Press, Worcester. He decorated the two Books of Consecration for the new Coventry Cathedral.
Margaret Adams (1912-)

Hilda Margaret Adams was born in Bridgnorth, Shropshire, in 1912. She studied at the Birmingham College of Art and was a pupil of Harry Adams and Daisy Alcock. Her main work was for Stanbrook Abbey, Worcester, where she hand-decorated and gilded the fine printing of this press. One of the most successful examples of her work is on Siegfried Sassoon's The Path of Peace (1959), printed by Stanbrook Abbey. She has performed many notable commissions, including the gilding of the two Books of Consecration for the new Coventry Cathedral.

Margaret Alexander (1902-)
Elected to Craft Membership in 1931.
Served as Hon. Secretary: 1934-1936Margaret Alexander was born in Hampstead, England, in 1902. She studied at the Slade School of Fine Art and taught calligraphy and illuminating there, 1928-1957. She was also a calligrapher to the House of Lords, 1926-1963. She has executed addresses to a long list of distinguished persons, including four British sovereigns. Her commissioned works have been exhibited internationally, and are to be found in many of the great institutions in Britain, continental Europe and the United States, as well as in the finest private collections.

Marie Angel (1923-2010)
Elected to Craft Membership in 1949.
Watercolour artist, painting on vellum, miniatures. Studied at Croydon School of Arts and Crafts and later at the Royal College of Art. She is a miniaturist and scribe with an international reputation.Her work appears in Calligraphy Today ed. Cherrell Avery
Elected to Fellowship in 2007.
Cherrell holds a BA Hons in calligraphy from Roehampton, is a graduate of the A.T.S. and a freelance calligrapher in North London. Clients have included Marks & Spencer, Middlesex University and Selfridges. Cherrell teaches in adult education, museums including British Library; MODA; Royal Academy of Art; Royal Festival Hall and has participated in community multimedia projects.
