Vera Ibbett (1929-)

Vera is not only a Fellow of the SSI, but also H.R.M.S. and an R.H.S Medallist, Bot iii. She studied brush lettering under William Sharpington and Calligraphy, Illumination and Heraldry under Anthony Wood at Reigate. Works include:the Roll of Honour in the RAF Chapel at Biggin Hill, Kent: the Queen's Silver Jubilee Address: various calligraphic commissions: R.C.N. certificates: the initial promotion and introduction of calligraphy for Adult Education in the Reigate and Sutton area of Surrey, in 1973. Flowers in Heraldry was published in Canada: the text is written in calligraphy and is fully illustrated.

Taught at: Reigate School of Art and Design

Studied under: William Sharpington, Anthony Wood.

William Ingham

Elected to Craft Membership in 1953.

Thomas Ingmire (1942-)

Elected to Fellowship in 1977.

Major influence on the direction of (prominently) American calligraphy towards an art form.

Studied under: Donald Jackson.
