Organisation of the 2021 exhibition is moving forward, slowly but very steadily. Our aim is for this very special Centenary exhibition to be displayed at three different venues around the UK to give as many of our members and the public the opportunity to visit it. We have secured one major venue in London but we’re not quite ready to reveal where that is until until the details have been finalised.
We’re pleased to announce the exhibition title:
Words Made Beautiful
Do start thinking about starting work on your entry pieces. The title is deliberately broad and its intent is to reflect both calligraphy and illumination. It is open to your own interpretation, which means you can create something that truly showcases your particular skills and talent. Entry is open to all Fellows and Lay Members. The Exhibition Selection Committee will approve at least one piece of work from each Fellow who submits an entry. Additional entries by Fellows will be subject to selection, as will all the work submitted by Lay Members. You may enter up to four pieces and we ask that work submitted has not been exhibited before.
We will keep you posted about the actual submission date (likely to be in the middle of next year) and as soon as the Guidelines/Application Form is available. In the meantime we hope you feel motivated and inspired to start creating your work!
