Gerald Mynott, FSSI About the tutor
Born in Hampstead in 1957, Gerald Mynott FSSI studied Heraldry, Calligraphy and Illumination at Reigate College of Art, leading to 3 years training as a Herald Painter at the College of Arms. In 1979, he spent time in Vienna, studying at the Künstlerhaus. Gerald was elected Fellow of the Society of Scribes and Illuminators in 1977 and has been Head of Department at Reigate School of Art since 1997.
Villiers Park Residential Courses
2020

Our Adult Residential School is designed to develop student skills, knowledge and passion for Calligraphy, Heraldic Art & Manuscript Illumination. Students will explore the fascinating world of Calligraphy, Heraldry and Manuscript illumination with the focus on specialised techniques and their use. This school is a great way to improve existing knowledge or learn new techniques. It is a practical course and each participant will benefit from personalised tuition and extended periods of concentration on their own work.

Course fee: £625 (includes 5 nights’ accommodation, tuition, all meals and tea/coffee at break times)

Dates: Due to its popularity, this course is being run twice in 2020 – Friday 21 to Wednesday 26 February and Monday 17 to Sunday 23 August.
