Over the weekend of Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th April, there will be an exciting celebration of the skills and legacy of Anglo-Saxon craftsmanship all brought together at the ancient burial site at Sutton Hoo near Woodbridge, Suffolk.
The SSI is delighted to have a presence at the festival with Jan Jeffreys, Julie Chaney and Simon Langsdale demonstrating calligraphy and letter-carving skills, whilst other members talk to visitors about calligraphy and help promote the SSI and its activities.
It is a free event run by the National Trust but usual site admission fees do apply. Full details can be found on their website here.
