At the SSI’s Annual General Meeting on Saturday, 24 October 2015, the following proposal, was voted for unanimously by all those Fellows attending:
Proposal to change the Rules of the SSI to give voting rights to Lay Members and to allow for the position of Chairman to be open to a Lay Member, as laid out in the document sent out with the AGM Agenda.
It was a moving moment and one that was greeted by a round of applause from the Fellows and many Lay Members present.
