LAY MEMBERS’ EXHIBITION 2025: Inspired by Nature
A show for all Lay Members, both to view and to participate in, open to all levels of ability and experience. This year the theme is: ‘Inspired by Nature’.
The maximum size for each entry is 30cm x 30cm including the mount. 3D entries, such as carved letters, books etc, must be A4 or smaller.
Your entry does not have to have been produced especially for the Exhibition, but should not have been previously shown elsewhere.
Please send a good quality digital image and a separate entry form (digital form available soon) for each piece that you are submitting to: sharon@sharonshawstudio.co.uk by 5 May 2025.
Images will feature in the online exhibition to view on the SSI website after the day. They will also be given to a Fellow to provide their comments. If you do not wish to show your work online or receive comments, please tick the relevant boxes on your form(s).
While we hope to have a good number of entries to display on the day, we appreciate that some may wish to submit a digital image for the online exhibition only. Please make this clear on your form(s).
Physical entries for the Exhibition to be held on 14 June 2025 should be securely packaged and both the work and all the packaging should be labelled with your name and address.
Please send your work to arrive between 1-9 June 2025 to: Lay Members’ Exhibition,
c/o Sharon Shaw,
38 Queensville Road,
Clapham Park, London SW12 0JJ.
The utmost care will be taken of your work but we cannot accept liability for any loss or damage that occurs in transit. The SSI is unable to insure your work while on display but there will be volunteers supervising at all times.
The closing date for receipt of work is 9 June, but you may bring your work on the day if preferred. Please make this clear on your form(s).
If you would like your work to be posted back to you please make sure you enclose adequate postage in the form of a large stamped addressed envelope with your entry. 3D entries should be collected on the day by you or a representative.
If you are sending work from outside the UK, please be prepared to pay the cost of return postage into the SSI’s bank account, details of which will be provided. If return postage is not received, the artwork may not be returned.
