SSI Shop
It is with regret that we have to announce that the SSI Shop will be closing at the end of 2024.
As we reduce stock levels between now and the end of the year we will not be replacing items. We have made arrangements with our membership secretary to continue supplying back copies of the Scribe and the relevant contact details for this will be displayed. For all other Shop items the website will contain contact details so that you can purchase from the suppliers direct. We have contacted our suppliers to explain the situation. We are very sorry for any inconvenience that these changes may cause you.
This only applies to items sold via the online Shop.
All other Events & Education sales and registrations will continue to be managed as currently via the website.

Our recommended goose wing feathers came from Jaffé Feathers and are Goose Quill Feathers (30-35cm). If you are buying in bulk (more than 500g), you can purchase them from jaffefeathers.co.uk. If you need smaller quantities than this, they have a retail shop and you can purchase thefeatherfactory.co.uk. They supply these in a range of colours, but we always chose natural white.
Our vellum was supplied by William Cowley. Ask for calfskin manuscript vellum if you want a similar product. This is prepared on both sides, so can be used in books.
Our Van Dyke crystals were supplied by Cornelissen & Son. Crocus Cloth can be ordered from Penman Direct.
