Calligraphy Correspondence Course
£250.00£250 per unit of six lessons. 24 lessons, divided into 4 units. You learn at your own pace, supported by an SSI Fellow as your tutor.

Creative Development Course
A unique residential course, taught by Fellows, to help you achieve your calligraphic potential.
The three-year, part-time course provides a structure of tuition, support and guidance for calligraphers who want to develop their work in a more personal direction. Instead of a teaching course, it’s a programme which gives time and encouragement to students to find their own way ahead.

Mastering Italic Hand – online course with videos and expert feedback
£360.00 – £396.00One-to-one tuition from an SSI Fellow – available to start whenever you are ready. Eight detailed lessons will take you from the basics and guide you through the main variations on the script. Accompanying short videos will let you see and replay the main points for each lesson.On application you will be assigned to a tutor who is expertly placed to review your work and to provide feedback, examples and encouragement throughout the course. -
Specialist Tuition by Fellows
Courses devised and run by SSI Fellows offered to individuals and small groups for specialised and intensive, focused learning.
These bespoke courses are offered online or in person by Fellows with particular skills and expertise to students at all levels wanting to enrich their skills in a personalised and flexible way.Fees of £60 per hour, £50 for SSI members, are payable to the tutors. Concessionary fees may be negotiable with the tutor for those on benefits, low incomes or in full-time education. See courses below.
